I’ve been working on my second book so long, I had started to resign myself to the fact that it would never be finished. So, I made the decision to just do it, and I lit a fire under my butt by setting a public deadline for myself. Nothing like being accountable!

Being stuck in the 70 – 77,000 word range forever had to stop. So, I arranged to crowd-fund the pre-order of my next book. I wrote a separate Medium article here about why I chose that platform, but the short answer is that it lets me resource myself to publish independently while also shopping the book to a traditional publisher.
